Course interfaces that teach before you read

An illustrated pose card and a photo of a pose teach different things. The card teaches the shape.

Rise 360 and Storyline · illustration systems, interaction patterns, tone

The problem

Course screens that have to be explained before they can be used. Learners should know where they are and what to do without reading instructions.

What we did

For the yoga certification we built a consistent illustration system for poses and anatomy so learners can compare shapes without the noise of bodies and clothing. For Storyline work, bold section maps and numbered steps. For the microlearning programs, one hero, one frame, one interaction, and the same closing message every time.

The outcome

A set of illustration and interaction patterns that show learners what to do before they read the instructions, reused across the programs the school runs.
