Revamping a meditation and mindfulness instructor certification
Fifteen modules, each a couple of video lessons with an interaction built for the point, including trauma-informed teaching ethics.
A meditation certification that had grown module by module over years, with lessons in different shapes and a live cohort that runs in parallel. It needed to become one consistent experience without pausing enrollment.
We're rebuilding it module by module: drafting lesson copy and custom interactions, then building each lesson as Rise 360 microlearning from the previous lesson as the template with the video embedded, keeping the house rules on color and the closing message. Alongside it: the cohort's live seminars page with attendance tracking, the weekly program emails, and a loudness-normalized meditation player inside the course.
The new cohort runs on the rebuilt pages and emails while the eLearning modules are replaced in sequence.

The certification had grown the way good programs grow: a module at a time, over years, as the faculty learned what students needed. The cost of that growth was that the lessons had different shapes. Some were long videos with a quiz, some were readings, some were built in an older template with a different look. A live cohort runs alongside the online modules, so the program couldn't pause while it was fixed.
We're rebuilding it module by module, fifteen in all, each a couple of video lessons with an interaction designed for the point the lesson is making. The build uses the same approach as the school's other programs: lesson copy drafted first, custom interactions where the idea needs one, then each lesson built from the previous one as the template so the house rules on color and the closing message carry through on their own.
The interactions are deliberately not uniform. A concept lesson gets a simple check. The teaching ethics and trauma-informed practice modules get room for judgment: scenarios where there isn't one right answer and the learner has to say what they would do and why. Consistency in how a lesson works, variety in what it asks of you.
Around the lessons, we rebuilt the pieces the cohort touches every week: the live seminars page with attendance tracking, the weekly program emails, and a loudness-normalized meditation player inside the course so a guided practice doesn't start at a different volume than the lecture before it.
The new cohort is running on the rebuilt pages and emails while the eLearning modules are replaced in sequence, so no student ever meets a half-finished program.
