Certification programs built as microlearning

Each lesson: one idea, one video, one thing to do with it.

Ohio-licensed e-learning school · Ayurvedic integrative nutrition, meditation & mindfulness, 300-hour yoga · 2025 to present

The problem

Long certification programs with many modules, several instructors, and a lean team tend to drift: every lesson looks a little different, and learners feel it.

What we did

We author every lesson as Rise 360 microlearning with one frame: a short statement of what you'll be able to do, the lesson video, then an interaction that makes you use it. House rules every contributor follows: no interaction left on the default gray, text always in the theme color, and the same end-of-lesson message every time. For the 300-hour yoga program we rebuilt the lecture track from a content inventory that mapped 77 source assets to a 24-module schedule and exposed which modules had no source yet.

The outcome

Three programs in production (ayurvedic nutrition, meditation and mindfulness, 300-hour yoga) where finishing one lesson feels like finishing all of them, plus a loudness-normalized meditation player inside the LMS.

For the school's current programs we author every lesson as a Rise 360 microlearning: a short written frame that states what you'll be able to do, the lesson video, then an interaction that makes you use it (a process, an accordion of cases, a reflection). House rules we hold the team to: no interaction left on the default gray, text always in the theme color, and the end-of-lesson message never changes, so completing one feels like completing all of them.

  • Ayurvedic integrative nutrition: a module-by-module build from fundamentals through digestive assessment, each lesson following the same frame.
  • 300-hour yoga: the lecture track rebuilt from a content inventory that mapped 77 source assets to a 24-module schedule and exposed exactly which modules had no source yet.
  • Meditation and mindfulness instructor certification: fifteen modules including trauma-informed teaching ethics, each a couple of video lessons with custom interactions.
  • A Spotify-style meditation player, loudness-normalized, inside the LMS.
