Onboarding before day one

By the time they walk in, they should already know who they're serving.

Regional transportation company · Storyline · and a retail HQ new-hire program

The problem

A fast-growing transportation company trained every new hire in person, inconsistently, across locations. First days were spent on things that could have been learned before.

What we did

We built a self-paced course people took before their start date: persona-based modules that teach you to read a client, scenario exercises that simulate the ride, knowledge checks, and a tone that matched the company's culture. At a retail headquarters we designed the enterprise new-hire experience and its materials, including the poster and plan that told a new employee what to do first.

The outcome

A reusable pre-start experience with persona-based scenarios, so new hires at any location started with the same introduction before their first day in the building.
